Singles, dating, matchmaking Sources - Personal Ads
We checked out the singles, dating & matchmaking websites that have personal ads on them. Here are the single and matchmaking sites we think are the best and our comments on them. If you have a singles, dating, or matchmaking site you want to suggest... just email me (Gregg@LoveIsGreat.com)
All we ask is if you go to them and join, send them an email if you found them through us or joined because of our evaluation. Thanks! Also check out Dating By Design, another site that reviews dating sites.
2ofakind.com - GOOD
This site is rated one of the best. Haven't tried it out yet, but the endorsements on the main page are impressive.
For those of you who are interested in Latin Americans or South Americans, this is the place to find someone to date. The site is well constructed and offers a lot of features! The site is aimed at introducing men from the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe to women from Latin countries. All of the female members are verified by their sending a copy of their ID before they can initiate contact with our men members
This site is growing! It has one of the best layouts, and asks good questions to provide helpful information when deciding whom you want to met. They notify you when you get email, and also when someone expresses interest in you. When you do a search it will bring up the most recent first.
Membership is free, but you buy tokens to send email to others who interest you. Some free tokens to start.
Matchmaker.com (Lycos)- VERY GOOD
They ask a lot of questions and have essay areas, plus they have separate "communities" for locations, some sexual preferences, and some faiths. Their search engine is good. Warning though, their "compatibility" rating is based on the number of matches on questions answered with no factor for relevence.
Match.com and Matchmaker.com and Date.com (same company) - GOOD
Match.com is the same company as One & Only. But, match.com asks a lot more questions and has more info in the profiles. Shows last time their was activity on the account, so you know if the person is checking their posting. When allowing their Venus matchmaking email, they have a bad habit of sending you an email every week with "matches," even if they don't match your parameters at all.
New from Match.com is Chemistry - Good idea.
SingleSearch.com
"Oldest singles service on the net. Think of us as McCupid ... over 500,000 singles served matches. Founded in 1988 by Lisa Bentsen, a marriage counselor, Single Search IS the world's premiere dating & matchmaking service."
Since they actually do matchmaking using information from a profile you fill out they charge for this service, starting at $25. Worth a try.
Asia Friend Finder - Good
This site has a lot of people on it, Asian personals mostly. This site doesn't allow searches and pushes getting their silver and gold memberships a bit too much. The Silver is $24.88/3mo. and the Gold $48.00/3mo. If you are into Asians, this site is for you.
get to know the person and be with them in as many situations and circumstances as possible. Take your time. See all sides of them, the good and the bad. And see if you both love each other afterwards... that is one test of Love.
Also remember, there are times when it doesn't "feel" like you love someone. The "Romantic Love Rush" isn't there, that is when commitment to each other is important and THAT is when True Love builds.
Realize that when you first meet someone, and maybe for a few years after that you can be infatuated with someone. That is the "Love High" or "Romantic Love Rush" we get. Only after that, and we truly know the person we love, the good and the bad, and accept all, does being "in love" set in.
Being "in love" involves commitment, acceptance, caring, trust and more (check Cornerstones of a Relationship). It is a place where your heart is calm and satisfied.
Infatuation can lead to being "in love" later on, but only if the Cornerstones are in place.
