Today marks the day 14 years ago that I said " I Do" with the most extraodinary woman I have ever met. As you will see, the more I think of it, extraordinary doesn't even seem close to enough to describe my beautiful wife.
We started dating not long after high school and of course the beginning was full of heated passion found in new love. Practically every moment we were together we were flirting, holding hands, kissing or............ An obvious sign that we had a connection from the beginning that neither of us could realize the full meaning for years to come. Of course our disagreements were full of heat as well, for no two can argue/fight unless they truly care about each other.
Now we are both around the 40 mark and have lived a lot of life together. We have seen many things, experienced almost unimaginable highs and some lows. Almost half way through raising two wondeful children that we are very involved with in all of their activities. We have built a home together and filled it with a family that still makes me pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
The most remarkable thing about all that is listed above is that I credit my lovely wife for all of it. The love I feel for her pulls me into all of it. Her guiding way is what truly makes everything possible in our life together. She is the true foundation to our family and yet thinks of herself as just a small part.
With all of this one would think that we could lose sight of each other. In our own little chaos called life, there are times that we do. But our love for each other is so deep that it always pulls us back to the pillar that keeps this family strong. There are many reasons for this, but one main ingredient to our deep love for each other is that the heated passion we felt for each other in the beginning has never simmered. In fact if anything it has grown stronger. Another thing I owe to my wife because she is very timely in comments, touches or situations that remind me of how crazy she is about me. Which fuels my fire and drives to always be thinking of new ways to let her know how much she means to me. An endless circle as you can see.
On top of all of that, she is nearing 40 but only looks 30. She is drop dead gorgeous and doesn't realize it no matter how often I tell her. Now what man could ask for more in a bride?
