My girl just broke up with me because she said I didnt show that I respected her place and give her complement. I understand that everyone needs them but I guess I just did because I was used to her kind of neglected her. When she told me this I told her that I was sorry and didnt know it ment so much. I I feel like an ass for not doing it but she now started to compare me to her father and said he never gave her complements. She said I never respected her place and this was bs because I always helped her clean ,never made a mess,took my shoes off every time I entered and did alot of work to it and etc. My only problem is I know that I truely neglected her with complements I just needed a reminder but I know that I never lacked on showing her love either through telling her or including her with everthing I did, do you fell that her actions were right with not giving me another chance to prove I ment it.

Well it's kind of sucky if she didn't at least talk to you about this prior to breaking up with you... if you don't know there is an issue, then obviously you can't resolve it.
With that said... in a lot of ways Greg your girlfriend sounds like someone who wants other people (especially the person shes involved with) to automatically know what she wants and give it to her without being told, or asked... this is completly unrealistic for anyone to think is going to happen.
While you do need to be tuned into your partner there isn't any way you can know every thing that is on thier mind... something tells me she was also the girl who when she seemed pissed off before or upset and you ASKED her what was wrong, she said NOTHING because she wanted you to just know what it was and fix it.
I'm sorry it turned out the way it did for you Greg... lesson learned here in not taking your partner for granted... but there is a lesson here for her as well, although i'm willing to bet she won't learn it just yet... and that is if you never ask, you never get.
