I met this guy while I was away on vacation with my friends. It actually took me a while to be interested in him because he was shy and quiet at first around us, but when he finally opened up he was such a wonderful person. He was extremely respectful, (I know that in some cases people have the tendency to take things way too far with people they've just met while away on vacations because they'll never see the person again). Anyway, I had a really great time just hanging out with him and talking, I still can't think of a time where I have smiled so much. We talked on the phone a few times after we both went home (we live about 10 hours away) but the phone calls eventually stopped. I understand that this isn't a case where I've known this person my entire life, but I just can't stop thinking about him, and I finally worked up the nerve to call him about a week ago and leave him a message. He hasn't called back and I'd understand if he didn't. I just can't get him off my mind and I know I'm about to meet hundreds of new people at college but I just wish there was a way for me to relax about it.
I'm a very emotional person, and I have never been good at communicating how I feel to people, whether it's anger or love, etc. Since this is REALLY driving me crazy, I just wish there were a way for me to tell him how I feel about him, because this is making me so angry inside. I've had this problem with a few other guys before, but not nearly to this extent, and for once I'd really like to be able to explain how I feel without flipping out or sitting around "pining" for this guy instead of meeting other guys who make me feel just as great.
Any advice on what I could do, or what i could SAY to this guy, or what I could tell myself would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe writing a letter would be a good idea. Not an email, but an old-fashioned letter. Requires more effort.
