I don't know what I should do. I've been with my bf for almost 5 years and he's treated me like dirt for a long time. I've let him walk all over me, belittle me, and lie to me. But still I stay. I don't know how to be strong. I don't know how to walk away. I know deep down I should leave him but I just can't, or am more afraid to, than anything. He treated me wonderfully and sometimes still does but lately his mood changes from Prince Charming to Dr Jekkyll. I walk on eggshells just so I don't get him angry. He seems to be annoyed with any little thing that I do lately and he makes me cry. When I do cry, he just gets even more pissed off. How do I walk away?

I just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I know what I should do, it's just I don't know if I'm strong enough to do it. How do you become strong? That's my real question. Any ideas?

You're in an emotionally abusive relationship...
This is abuse period. You don't have to be hit or slapped to be abused... and emotional abuse is just as physical abuse and most times it is physical abuse that will follow emotional abuse.
If you are afraid of him, please call your local womens shelter or get in touch with family who can help you with this...to support you in getting out of this relationship.
It isn't uncommon for women who have been abused to have low self esteem and be to afraid to get out... please get some help.

Hey listen you dont deserve to be treated that way okay? beleive me i know wot its like 2 be in a relationship like yours. u just have to be strong and take each day as it cums. u deserve better. its hard leaving sumone i know, i was with my bf for nearly four years and i was scared too but then i realised that i cud do soooo much better and u need to do something about it now. good luck and i know it aint easy but trust me ur best off leaving this jerk and find sum one better. soz, but i hate men like that. hope everything works out okay for u.
