I must shout this out to someone, anyone that will listen. I need to tell someone about the most wonderful women I have ever met.
She is a red haired goddess with magnificent green eyes. She is smart, beautiful, sexy, sassy and witty.
Her name is Denise and she it the love of my life. She is truly one of a kind, my goddess and I long to tell her, hold her and make passionate love to her, but it may never happen.
She tortures my heart and torments my soul each day but I can't tell her how I feel. See she is my employee, a direct report, but I would give it all away, my life, my career, my position, if she turned to me one day and said "I love you E"
But it will not happen, she is married to another, and not mine to have an hold. So I will go on worshiping her.....if she only know how much I loved her.
I had to tell someone.......my heart breaks every day when we go home apart. Oh well, to denise I love.

Seriously though Ern, you know the deal, nothing can ever become of this. You are right, there truly is nothing worse than 'unrequited love' but, at least, you are being realistic about it all. Many men wouldn't express such self control...
I agree with Sam - that maybe changing jobs is your only option. I can't foresee things getting better with how you feel - your torment may only continue for Heaven knows how long.
There'll be someone again in the future Ernie, God will bless you in this way if you continue being strong.

Ernie -- I think it would be best for you to get another job. I say this because working with this woman is only torturing you. That's very cool that you realize that she is not available as she is married -- but let me assure you that there are a lot of single redheads out there in the world that are just as fiesty, if not more. Not only are you torturing yourself here working with this gal, but you also are putting yourself in an unprofessional position where you can get into big trouble.
