Hey. I'm in college and I sit beside a very cute young man in a class. NOW, we've caught eyes and all that b.s. before, and I really never noticed him much until he started sitting beside me a few weeks ago. He seemed uncomfortable cause he shuffles around in his seat alot, but anywho... he stops to open doors for me on my way out... seems shy... so he may notice my existence in a cool way too... Ok, I feel like a kid, but I'll go on Last class meeting, He actually spoke to me. He just asked if he missed anything much last meeting, and joked about not being able to make it... well I was nervous as hell and just laughed and sipped (er... gulped) my coffee. He said some other crap, and of course, I just laughed. And gulped coffee. And said nothing. But I smiled... and laughed... Ok, so I think he seems like a nice guy. Only problem is, I'm used to meeting not so nice guys in bars and at parties, half mangled on cheap beer. I mean, I've had relationships before - heart stabbing, insomnia inducing, gut busters. I thought I was past this nervous, I-can't-find-the-words crap when a good prospect speaks to me. But apparently all the alcohol has clouded my brain, or I have a little school girl crush. Either way, hmm... I mean, he could definetly dig me. I'm cute, I'm kinda shy and geeky, y'know, and he sends out the vibes. I suffer no lack of confidence, just a general nervousness when it comes to striking up a conv. or apparently, carrying on a coversation! I mean, I talk to dudes in my other classes, but I don't think of them as "prospects" so I'm capable of conversation. Any tips on minimizing the nerves, so next class I can strike up a conv. without looking like a deer in headlights or catholic school girl (not of the slutty sort, a'course)? Obviously coffee wont help, but its too early to be taking shots. And no, I don't like cream. So whats the jive, turkeys? Help me out.
