do you think it is ok to be friends with his ex well heres the story she calls me and tells me all her problems and now she calls all the time and even wants to spend time at my house no hes not there hes away at college and then starts telling me all the wrong he did to her she never says the wrong she did? i really dont feel comfortable but i tolerate it cause they had a little girl and i take the girl with me when i do go up there to see him what do i do should i just cut her off why would you want to be friends with your ex's new love? somebody help

While I admire your willingness to get along with your mans EX because there is a child involved, it certainly doesn't mean you have to listen to her go on and on about what he did blah blah... the next time you are in her company and she starts on this topic, I would tell her that you understand things didn't work out between the two of them, and you're happy that you've all been able to maintain being civil to one another, BUT that you don't wish to discuss your relationship with *fill in his name here* nor do you wish to discuss her PAST relationship with him.

Let her know it makes you uncomfortable, and it's not appropriate.
