I Have feelings for somone I have not yet met!

HI I HAVE WRITTEN PRIOR ABOUT A MAN I HAVE NOT MET. HE IS IN THE MILITARY AND WE MET ONLINE. WE HAVE BEEN TALKING FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR NOW. WE USE TO CHAT ON THE PHONE FOR SOME TIME. THEN HE WAS SENT TO IRAQ FOR A YEAR. HE WILL HOPEFULLY BE COMMING HOME SOON. HE HAS TOLD ME HOW HE FEELS OF ME. AND WHY HE LIKES ME SO MUCH AND IS INTERESTED IN BECOMMING MORE THAN FRIENDS. HE IS GOING THROUGH SO MUCH THERE AND I AM THERE FOR HIM WHEN HE NEEDS TO TALK. I SEND HIM MUSIC AND LETTERS. I REALLY CARE ABOUT HIM SO MUCH. HE IS ON MY MIND MANY TIMES OF THE DAY. A FEW TIMES I HAVE ASKED HIM IF HE WAS STILL LOOKING TO BE MORE THAN FRIENDS HE WAS UNSURE. I UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS THERE AND I AM HERE. I HAVE SOMETIMES BEEN FRUSTRATED AND UPSET THAT WE ARE APPART. I THINK WE BOTH ARE AT THAT POINT AND HE IS TIRED OF BEING THERE AND WANTS TO COME HOME. I WILL BE HERE WHOLE HEARTEDLY FOR HIM WHEN HE COMES HOME. HE SOMETIMES DOUBTS THAT I WILL BE PATIENT ENOUGHT TO WAIT FOR HIM. I HAVE WAITED SO FAR. I AM INTO MY SCHOOLING AND PLAN ON FINISHING THAT BEFORE I REALLY GET SERIOUS WITH ANYONE. I HAVE TOLD HIM THIS AND HE UNDERSTANDS AND STILL INTENDS ON MEETING ME AND SEEING WHERE IT GOES. WELL ONE NIGHT I WAS LONELY AND MET SOMEONE. I DO NOT CARE FOR THIS PERSON. MY FRIEND IN IRAQ ASKED ME IF I HAD SEEN ANYONE. I TOLD HIM OF THIS PERSON BUT TOLD HIM WE WERE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP. I ALSO APOLOGIZED FOR DOING WHAT I DID AND THAT I DID NOT WANT HIM TO THINK LESS OF ME. THAT I REALLY CARED FOR HIM AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HE COMES HOME. IT JUST HAS BEEN HARD WORRYING OF HIM. I CARE FOR HIM SO, AND I HOPE THIS HAS NOT RUINED ANYTHING WITH ME AND HIM IN THE FUTURE. I DONT KNOW HOW HE FEELS ANYMORE I GUESS THAT IS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY. IT HAS BEEN HURTING ME FOR SOME TIME.

basically, you aren't in a relationship with this man technically... so you can see whom you wish. i know you are interested in pursuing a relationship with this man, and he knows that. you have put that on the table. he, however, has not taken the bait, know what i mean? it seems as if he appreciates the fact that you have been there for him, and that says a lot to a man in the military, as a lot of them can get pretty lonely at times.
i really don't have much to say other than the fact that, are you going to wait around for a guy who you've never met, who you don't know of IF you'll ever have a relationship with??? in this regard, continue to write him and do as you like -- but don't put your life on hold and feel guilty seeing other people when this guy isn't with you, nor has said he wants to be with you. he has said he is "unsure".
my advice is to be his friend and be there for him as you have been, but to keep seeing other people and enjoy seeing other people. be honest with him about all this. don't put your life on hold on something that may never happen. i mean honestly, how do you know that he isn't writing some other girls? even meting new ones on the internet? bottom line: don't get your hopes up. keep this military man as a special friend, one with whom you'd like to be with, but until you two meet and he decides he wants to be with you and you him -- have fun and live your life as you're meant to.
