Ok I need some advice on my current guy situation. This guy has been texting me a lot lately, so I finally got back to him. We talked about going out with a group, but that was a mess and didn't work out, so this guy and I made plans to do something another night. Well he came through and we went out to a movie. We ended up talking quite a bit and flirting a lot. At the end of the movie, he held my hand and put his arm around me as he walked out to the car. He mentioned wanting to do something else, bgut neither of us could think of anything. So, we decided to see each other again in a couple of days. Before leaving he gave me a really long and close hug. We almost kissed, but it didn't happen. So right after we left he sends me a text that says: he is glad we went out, he had a great time, and is serious about hanging out on the weekend. The day comes we are suppose to hang out after I got of off work pretty late. Earlier in the day we found out someone we knew passed away. I knew he was upset, but he said he still wanted to do something. An hour before I get off work, he sends me a text that says: he feels like crap so he might be sleeping when i get off, so if he doesn't talk to me, we need to get together soon because he liked the other nite and he hopes I'm not mad because he really wants to do something. I call him and of course he doesn't answer. I sent him a text because unfortunately that is our big form of communication, not phone calls. Well I didn't hear from him the next day, so stupidly I gave in and sent him a text him asking if he felt better. He said yeah and asked if I wanted to hang out on Monday. I said that would be cool, then I never heard from him. I got a text from him on Monday night and he didn't say anything about it. He said he wanted to see me soon, but didn't say when. Then out of the blue he asks me if I wanted a kiss from him that night we hung out. I wasn't sure what would be the best reponse to this, but I said yeah because it felt right at the time. He said he wanted to kiss me, but he thought it might be too sudden so he didn't. Then he said he was going to bed and he'd call me tomorrow night. Well now it's two nights later and I haven't heard from him. I don't understand guys???? Why is he sending me these nice and sweet texts, but not putting in any more effort? Am I being played? Is he really interested or stringing me along? What should I do? PLEASE HELP! Sorry it was so long, I wanted to give the most information to better help any advice you could give me.

I think it sounds like a case of bad timing. He just experienced a death, and is probably feeling pretty down and out. Give him time.
