there is a guy in one of my classes. he sits a few seats away and I have never talked to him but I listen to him in class and find him facinating he is reallly smart and I think he is good looking too. my problem is I dont know how to go about talkin to him. I used to be really shy but I am starting to come out of my shell now and I have alot more guts then I used to. But I dont know how to approach him. he obvisouly knows my name cuz our class isabout 8 people. he lives on my campus too I know that. any suggestions on how to approach him and what to say? thanks!

To start, how about you ask him how he is? Followed maybe by, whether he enjoyed the class you just had? The little things, the small chit-chat related to the situation you both find yourselves in, are the ice breakers... then you go from there...
Always make the effort to talk to him, don't stalk him - just be aware & try to be friendly (even though your stomach's all over the place!). Nerves are difficult but not impossible to overcome.
Smiling's good. Ask him more personal questions after you've been chatting a few days, what he likes to do in his spare time, the music he's into...
If the signs look good & he seems to welcome your attention, go ahead & ask him if he'd like to meet up with you outside of school. Lunch is good.
Take deep breaths & have confidence in yourself. It's always scary at first but once you begin gelling with someone the effort was all worth it :-)
