Me and my boyfriend Daniel just broke up. (He broke up with me to go out with another girl) It hurt me really badly since we've been together since September 2003 on and off. We were on 7 1/2 months when he broke up with me. We've been through a lot, but I feel so much hate towards him. He keeps calling me saying he still wants to be friends and that I'm taking it way out of proportion. That my "anger is blinding me". I just don't know whether or not I should be his friend? Or should of just throw away all memories?

You have every right to feel what you are feeling. He dumped you. It is YOUR prerogative to decide if or whether you wish to be "friends" with him. Personally, I don't see why some people attempt to be friends with an ex. Usually, it only causes trouble. When a relationship ends, it ENDS, and since you share a romantic past, it makes having an unbiased and unresentful "friendship" even harder.
My advice is to request that he not call you for awhile. Apparently you are still harboring feelings of resentment and animosity, and you still aren't over the relationship and what he did to you. He HURT you. You are under NO obligation to talk to him now, or ever.
Don't let him manipulate you. Cut the strings if need be. Respect your feelings, and don't do anything you don't wish to do.

yea, you're probably mad at him, but i doubt you hate him. why throw away completely what you two shared? what's wrong with being friends, besides the fact that it might be weird for a while. But sooner or later, you'll become comfortable around him again and things will be like you two never went out. Trust me, i'm friends with one of my ex's and its wonderful. He knows me better than my current boyfriend sometimes. Don't worry, at first i felt like i'd never be able to talk to him again, but now, i dont go a day without talking to him. who knows, girl, he might turn out to be one of your best friends.
