Getting over someone you've been this close to for so long isn't going to happen over night. I respect you for wanting the best for him and being happy for him. Most girls would have so much hate for the other girl and go out of their way for revenge. Personally, i think revenge is a waste of time-what happens, happens. So good for you. Just because he's not IN love with you, doesnt mean he doesnt love you with all he's got. Trust me, he still cares about you, and he hasnt completely forgotten about you. It's just that now you two are going to have to be just friends, regardless what you're feeling for him. Every girl gets over guys differently. Whether it be just hanging out with some of your girl friends for a while and forgetting about guys, or start hanging out with different guys. Whatever's best for you. But don't completely shut out your best friend, that would break his heart, something tells me that you two are extremely close, and will always be, but for now, you feelings for him need to be set aside.
