Title: How does he feel? w/o being pushy?

By: qnile68

I met this guy through work, he no longer works there. We hung out a few nights a week after work while he was still employed there, until this one night when close to leaving there was this 'moment' where our eyes met and there was some sexual tension as well as a 'look' and i'm sure my eyes had that same look. it wasn't a look of lust, more of a I can't believe how great she is, look. at least that's how i took it.

So he leaves and starts his new job, which is right down the street from where I live and I go in all the time (even before I knew he was gonna be working there). When I go in, he seems to be happy and excited to see me, we talk for a few minutes. The one night I couldn't sleep, he was working the gravyard shift. I texted him to told him if he wanted to come over when he was done he could. He did. He stayed for 4 hours until he had to leave to go give blood and when i started to fall asleep, he was cute, cause he tried to not make any noise when he left, but he woke me up and he felt bad cause he knew that it was hard for me to get to sleep.

Then we hung out the next night, we went to a bar down the street from me, we talked until the bar closed and when we left he said ok, where to next? I didn't answer him cause I was taken off guard. He was walking slowly to his car even though i was freezing. Then i suggested a diner, so we went there for a few hours and then he dove me home.

And then we hung out again the following night, again at a bar, but this one was close to his house. We met a friend of his there, who still works at my job. We all talked until the bar closed and when we were at our cars we talked for a few minutes, this is the only time I feel any kind of awkwardness, it always like he wants to say or do something, but then never does. it's like he's weighing out the options in his head and decides to play it safe. Anyway he finally asks me if I want to see his house, so I go over. We watched a movie and he sat next to me, but didn't put his arm around me, but when I snuggled up next to him he didn't back away. Anytime we went outside to smoke, he gave me his jacket eventhough I brought mine inside with me.

Now i'm fairly certain that he likes me, he pays for me all the time, does anything i need even though i don't expect him too. But I am the one to call him, he always returns my calls, if he doesn't answer. and he prolongs our goodbyes.

I feel i should mention that his divorce was just final and she left him this past janurary, but I don't want to scare him off by talking to him about 'us', too soon. So how do I get him to show something with out being pushy?

It definitely sounds like he likes you and enjoys your company... and that you two quite possibly have something blossoming here.

But, play your cards right. Don't chase him... that makes a woman look desperate, and pushy. Give him the opportunity to call and pursue you. Don't mention a relationship yet or use the "us" word... it's way too soon. Let things continue to flow naturally, enjoy his company, get to know him more, and don't rush anything.

Slow and steady wins the race!
