i am 22 years old and iam in love with my 28 years old documentary teacher. for me our present position as a teacher and a student is not an issue because being in love with him as an individual matters more to me. i believe he likes me too. we both are are shy and reserved. iam a bit conservative when it come to relationship so i would like him to make the first move. my question is how do i know whether he loves me or not and how to make him approach me first?

How to know if he loves you or not is a tough question. If he says he loves you and his actions are consistant with those words, that would be a good indication that he loves you. Is there a way to know otherwise, not really. If he likes you enough, he should ask you and approach you first.
However, the teacher-student aspect may be a problem from his perspective and because of that it may be best for you to approach him first.
