I have been together with my boyfriend for 6 months. He is black and i am mexican. My mom wants me to leave him because we are not from the same race. She wants me to be with someone who is latin. She doesn't understand that i love him will all my heart. What should i do? Should i let him go?

Maggie... There are a few things you should do. 1. Explain to your mother how you feel about each other. Mothers always want what's best for their children. She probably has had some bad experience with a black person and thinks you are making a mistake. If she knows that you are serious about your relationship, she might come around. 2. Both you and your boyfriend should spend some quality time with your mother. This way she can get to know him and might start to respect your relationship a little more. Good Luck
