I think this guy could be afraid to talk to you. Even though he is popular with the ladies, he could actually be shy around the girl he actually likes. Sometimes when people are with the person they like their personality becomes the opposite of what they are really like (if they are shy, they become loud) or they often tend to ignore you and go for their friends and try to impress you by sometimes punching them and tackling them, to make him look better than his friends. He is just trying to stand out to you, and I imagine he'll be talking to you pretty soon. Don't give up
