My friend and i recently met this new guy who we are now friends with. He started liking me and my friend knows this and she encouraged me to start hanging out with him.
Yet after she tells me to hang out with him she will say something like " will your parents care?" " I mean he is older then you". At first i didnt think much of it until the other night when one of my friends randomly asked if she liked this kid tom (the one who likes me) when i said i didnt think so he said "oh it really seems like it"
So i asked her again what she thought about me hanging out with him and she said yeah you should but then added he is going away soon so maybe you dont want to get to serious. I asked her if she wanted to go to the movies and i mentioned bringing Tom. She said sure then she asked him instead of letting me and he said he wants to go. That kind of made me mad because the purpose was for me to ask.
Anyways i think i may like him or atleast i want to give it a try but i dont want to do something thats going to make my friend mad. Do you think she likes him? I dont no if this made much sense either but i would appreciate your help. we are going to the movies friday and i have a feeling shes going to be fighting for attention from him.
thank you

yea i think she likes her. or she is just jelous that her guy friend likes u and she doesnt want him to stop talking to her. or maybe she just likes when guys like her. but if she is going to go behind ur back and do all of that shit then u have every right to ask him out. after all if she was all that great of a friend she wouldnt be like that.and she is the one that told u to start talking to him.

Well I'm guessing that your friend does'nt want you to interfere with her and tom. I'm guessing that there is a problem between her and you going to talk to this tom kid. Guess what? THE HELL with your friend and ask tom out. She what she does then. DO anything in your power to overthrow your friend because let me tell you something. IT sounds like she is trying to ask him out behind your back. I say get to him before she gets to him.
If you like Tom, go for it! Give it a chance like you said. The last thing on your mind should be worrying about getting your "friend" mad at you. She IS interested in Tom, but won't admit it for whatever reason. Maybe not to hurt you, but she's brought up every possible excuse as to why you shouldn't get too serious with him. She has said that you should hang out with him...If she gets jealous, you can quote her on that. Don't worry about what she'll think.
