I just started high school, and I'm in the marching band, playing alto sax 1. There's this guy who plays tenor that I have this gut-wrenching crush on, but I've only spoken to him a handful of times.
He's one of those spazzed out people who never seem sad. He hardly knows me, but I want to date him....how do I at least become his friend? I'm desperate!
He's not a freshman, so you know, but he's not a senior.....I think he might be a junior.....anyway, he'll be here next year, but I think I'm moving.

The way to start a friendship with him, or anyone else, is really simple. Just say something like "Hi I'm...and I think you're really cool. We should talk more and hangout." I know it sounds kinda korny, but guys like that. They like a girl who's not a afraid to start a conversation with them, and who wouldn't want another friend?" And who knows, it may lead to something more. You mentioned that you may be moving, so take the chance while you have it. I really believe that something positive will happen.
