Title: my boyfriend is confused between me and his ex

I have been going out with this guy for about 2 months now. He has an ex who he went out with for almost 4 years. They broke up, and a couple of months later we started hanging out. She owes him money and they share a cell phone plan, it's under his name, so they still talk. She has been saying that she is sorry and that she will change, and that she wants to get back together. He had been saying no. Until recently.

About 3 weeks ago, he started thinking about if he was making a mistake. He said that she came to his house with pictures of when they first started going out, and it made him really upset, and so he started to question things, like why did that affect him so much. He said that he is really confused because he really likes me, but still has feelings for her.

Since he seemed so confused I told him that we should take a break and see other people. That was about 2 weeks ago, and he has been seeing both of us during this time. He still has not made a decision. I need to know if I am just wasting my time, if he will pick her, or if I should wait him out. He says that once he has made up his mind, at least he will know that he won't question whether he made a mistake. But I am getting a little nervous and impatient. He says that he still needs a little more time. Is he just playing me for a fool?
